Anthony Evans is the son of renowned pastor, author, and speaker Dr. Tony Evans. He comes from a strong family background and is still very close to his dad.
For Father's Day, Anthony answered a few questions about his dad and talked about how he plans to honor dad this Father's Day.
Kim - How did your dad and his ministry impact your life growing up?
Anthony - My dad made me understand that living for the Lord was real. It wasn't because of the church, programs, books or radio it was simply because of the way he lived. As a child of a minister I was more focused on his life at home being congruent with his life at the church...it was and now I stand confident in what I do.
Kim - Was your dad able to take time away from his own duties as a provider, pastor, etc. to be able to be there for those special, yet ordinary moments?
Anthony - My dad made sure that we got away for family vacations and that he was able to take me horseback riding and to basketball games. He is very focused on family.
Kim - How are you honoring his Dad this coming Father's Day? What are the main things that you took from him that you know, in your heart, that you will pass on to your own children when you have them?
Anthony - My dad is very hard to buy for so this fathers day I might take him to dinner and let him know through conversation what he means to me. I want to pass on my fathers desire to be a family man. I don't ever want my career to get in front of what my first priority should be...my family.
